Faustina the Younger Gold Aureus Series

Faustina the Younger's gold aurei belong to the coinage of Antoninus Pius and Marcus Aurelius, not to an independent reign of the empress. The broad series combines lifetime portraits and themes of imperial family continuity with posthumous consecration gold. Legends, reverse attributes and die relationships distinguish these phases without fixing every issue to an exact year.

Silver Denarius of Faustina the Younger

The silver denarii of Faustina the Younger span lifetime issues under Antoninus Pius and Marcus Aurelius and posthumous consecration coinage under Marcus. Portraits, family titles and divine reverses distinguish these phases, while the broad series dates do not identify the year of every type.
