Julia Maesa

Julia Maesa Silver Denarii

Julia Maesa's silver denarii present the Augusta through portraiture and legends of piety, modesty and the age's prosperity. Documented Rome issues under Elagabalus provide the basis for distinguishing reverse families, inscriptions and limits of mint and date attribution.
