Gold Solidus of Justinian II (Second Reign Sole Issue)
Struck at Constantinople following Justinian II's dramatic return to power in 705 CE, this rare gold solidus documents the brief period of sole rule preceding the coronation of his infant co-emperor Tiberius, pairing a distinctive curly-haired Christ Pantokrator with an imperial bust brandishing a PAX-inscribed globus cruciger.
